About Us and Our Mission
Crescent Life was founded as a way to give back to society and to give thanks for all our blessings through service to others.
We have experienced the ups and downs of life, and watched loved ones in all phases of life, from birth to their passing. Watching our loved ones struggle with disabilities, health concerns, hearing loss, surgeries, rehab, dementia, and hospice has been a journey of care, compassion, struggle, and service. As a family with special needs members, we have had a firsthand vision of what considerations are involved in their care.
We are based in Prince George's County, Maryland and hope to serve communities all over the state from Baltimore up to (but not yet including) DC.
Based on our experiences, one of the strongest elements we want to change is a lack of understanding of cultures, traditions and family vibes that lead to unhappiness with our seniors.
A significant element of life that is often lost in older age is one's role within the family and community. Traditionally, this role was clearly defined, but declining physical health or the shift toward nuclear families can lead to its erosion, resulting in feelings of isolation. Our caregivers will have sensitivity training specifically to guide them through these challenges and bring about confidence and comfort to those who raised us, and the society around us.
Honoring those who raised us,
not just when we were young,
but in all elements of life and growth.

To provide excellence in sensitive, compassionate non-medical home care that honors the independence, dignity, and peace of seniors and adults with special needs, supporting them and their families to maintain quality of life and remain active participants in their communities.
